5 Different Possible Custom Signs For Your Business

For years, I focused carefully on improving my products without paying much attention to the amount of business I was reeling in. Unfortunately, after about ten years of work, I could tell that things were slowing down dramatically. I started focusing more seriously on doing a little marketing, starting with improving the signs in front of my business. It was amazing to see how much of a difference a few well-placed signs made, and before we knew it, we were having a great time with all of our new customers. When it comes to running a customer-facing business, you need to have the right signs to attract customers into your store and direct them around your store once they are inside. There are many different types of custom signs you can use for your business; here are just a few options.

Backlit Sign

A backlit sign contains both words and graphics on a surface. There are lights behind the sign that help to illuminate the words and graphics and make them pop. A backlit sign must always be illuminated, even during the day. With a backlit sign, you may want to use LED lights for the sign to save on energy costs. LED lights will make it less costly to illuminate the sign all the time.

Illuminated Sign

An illuminated sign is a little different than a backlit sign. With an illuminated sign, the light can be turned off during the day, as the sign is visible enough to stand out on its own. You need to turn on the light at night to make the sign visible. Once again, you can use an LED light to illuminate the sign to save on energy costs.

Cabinet Sign

A cabinet sign, also referred to as a box sign, has a box structure to it. It is usually rectangular in shape and has four enclosed sides. Lights are placed inside the box, and the sides of the box help contain the light and focus the light on illuminating the sign. The front is often a simple sign lit up by the lights inside the box at night and is visible enough on its own during the day.

Channel Letter Sign

Sometimes, you don't want fancy images and logos. Instead, you want the letters of your name to make up the sign. In that case, you are going to want a channel letter sign. A channel letter sign utilizes three-dimensional letters to create your business name. Once again, a channel letter sign can stand on its own or pair with LED lights for nighttime visibility.

Metal Sign

If you want something durable and long-lasting, a metal sign is a way to go. They can last for years, if not decades, under the right conditions. To increase the sign's durability, it can be painted and coated in a special manner to prevent rust and fading to the sign.

In addition, they hold color well, and they are not easily damaged. This type of sign is great for advertising your business during the daytime and works well for stores that are not servicing customers at night, like an auto body shop or a tax office.

When it comes to bringing in customers, you need to have the right signs in place so that people can identify and find your business and stop by. Work with a custom sign manufacture to create the right sign for your storefront. For more information, contact a company like HLA Enterprises.
